High-Rise Residential

The Frontier is the first phase of a residential development located at City Park Drive adjacent to the new Blair LRT Station.  The first phase of the project involved the demolition of an existing retail building followed by the construction of a new 24-storey residential tower in its place containing 228 units and extensive amenity space. The development features stylish and modern one and two-bedroom units designed with comfort and elegance in mind. Residents also enjoy a stylish lobby lounge, a party room, collaboration lounge and two outdoor terraces, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness centre and yoga room.

The project included extensive civil work to rework grades and surface treatments in the redevelopment of the 310,000ft² site and also involved the relocation of storm, sanitary, and water services to the new residential building as well as allowances for future phases. The site also had a unique geotechnical challenge due to the presence of expanding shale.  A geothermal heating and cooling system is incorporated into the design, significantly reducing energy consumption and greenhouse emissions.
