A 100 year old bridge
reconstruction with new roads and landscaping, reconstruction and the rebuilding of the
services building. The project is located at the junction of Elgin, Wellington and
Sussex in front of the Chateau Laurier. It involved a complex historical restoration
as well as the restoration and modification of the existing heritage structures.
Doran dealt with a large number of stakeholders including the Regional Municipality of
Ottawa-Carleton, Public Works, Parks Canada, various heritage groups and the National
Capital Commission.
